Dr. Mark Fairhurst, M.D.

Mark V. Fairhurst is certified by the Dermatology & Dermatological Surgery Board, and has been practicing for 20 years. Born in London, England, in 1960, he spent his university days at Sussex University in Brighton, graduating in 1982 with an honors BSC degree in Biochemistry.

From there Dr. Fairhurst moved to the states, making Los Angeles, California, his home while he attended UCLA Medical School from 1984-1988. Upon completion of his graduate work, he took an internship position with UC Irvine before moving into residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he remained for three years.

After two more years practicing dermatology in the Chicago area, Dr. Fairhurst was offered a position at the Graves Gilbert Clinic in Bowling Green, KY, where he would spend the next 9 years serving patients.

In 2003, Dr. Fairhurst decided it was time to start his own practice, and Nashville Skin Care was born. Word spread pretty quickly, and in five short years the practice had outgrown it’s Skyline Medical Center location.

Nashville Skin Care moved to their current Goodlettsville location in early 2008, and at the same time opened a new Cosmetics Department, which is run by Dr. Fairhurst’s wife, Jeannie Fairhurst, RN.

Dr. Mark Fairhurst has a wealth of education and experience, and has scientific papers published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings scientific journal. He has a reputation as a knowledgeable and friendly physician, and enjoys meeting and working with patients as much as he does practicing medicine.
